The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has filed an appeal at the Supreme Court seeking the cancellation of the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court, which confirmed the election victory of President Bola Tinubu.

In a 35-case notice of appeal, Atiku through his team of lawyers, led by Chris Uche, contended that the tribunal’s judgement committed “grave error and miscarriage of justice” in its legal reasoning by affirming Tinubu as president.

The notice of appeal filed by the former vice president is also asking the apex court to set aside the whole findings and decisions of the tribunal on the grounds that they did not represent the true picture of the grounds of his petition.

Atiku Abubakar maintained that the presidential election held on February 25, 2023, did not comply with the Electoral Act 2022.
