Mohbad’s widow, Omowunmi Aloba, has issued a scathing response to social media critic, VeryDarkMan (VDM), accusing him of harassment, false narratives, and attempting to obstruct justice for her late husband.

In a lengthy statement shared on her Instagram page, Wunmi called out VDM for persistently questioning the paternity of her son, Liam, and for spreading misinformation about her late husband’s case.

“Vincent,

For nearly two years, I have endured your harassment, false narratives, and attempts to obstruct justice for my late husband, Mohbad. Despite my silence, you have continued to spread misinformation, even going so far as to question the paternity of our son, Liam.

Let me make this clear: my silence was never weakness—it was a choice to mourn my husband with dignity and allow legal proceedings to take their course. Your relentless attacks only expose your bias against him and everything he stood for. But I firmly believe in karma.”

She further stated that she would not be coerced into revealing details of private disagreements with her late husband, emphasizing that arguments between couples are normal.

**”I’d like to remind you that I recorded my husband during an episode he had after suffering trauma at the hands of some NDLEA officers. I played the recording back to him, and he apologized. We then moved forward, got married, and had a child.

Your attempts to bully me and my son are futile, Vincent. You’re the last person I’d ever seek help from. Your hypocrisy is striking, given your investment in analyzing my family while ignoring your own.”**

Wunmi reaffirmed her willingness to take a DNA test but stated that it would only happen when her father-in-law was ready and through legal procedures.

“Regarding the DNA test, I’ve stated repeatedly that I’m willing to cooperate when my father-in-law is ready, and my lawyers are handling it according to the law. However, I will not be dictated to or commanded by you or anyone aside from those mentioned. Your audacity is appalling, considering your role in spreading misinformation about my husband’s death and your allegiance to those who bullied and exploited him.”

She ended her statement with a stern warning to VDM, demanding that he leave her and her son alone.

**”Let this serve as a final warning: I will no longer respond to your messages or engage with you in any way or form. Because the last time I checked, you’re just one of the benefactors of my husband’s death who bullied his immediate family and used his death to gain popularity and fame.

If you’re genuinely concerned about DNA testing, I suggest you start by questioning your own paternity. Mind your business and leave me and my family out of your vindictive pursuits.”**

Wunmi’s post has since sparked discussions on social media, with many weighing in on the ongoing controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death and the DNA test demand.
