United States billionaire Elon Musk has accused South Africa of blocking Starlink because he is “not Black.”

Musk made the claim on Friday in a post on X, writing: “Starlink is not allowed to operate in South Africa because I’m not Black.”

The dispute over Starlink’s operations in South Africa has been ongoing for some time. In August 2023, the South African government officially banned the import of Starlink kits, preventing citizens from accessing the satellite internet service.

Despite Starlink being operational in 17 African countries—including neighboring nations like Namibia, Mozambique, and Botswana—South Africa, the continent’s largest economy, remains excluded from the network.
