Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, was denied entry into the Rivers State House of Assembly Quarters in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Fubara had arrived at the quarters to present the 2025 budget, but security personnel locked the gates, preventing him from entering.

Accompanied by top officials, including the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, and Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie, the governor was left stranded outside the complex.

Expressing his frustration, Fubara revealed that he had made several attempts to contact Speaker Martin Amaewhule, but his calls went unanswered.

The incident has fueled speculation about a deepening political rift in Rivers State, particularly concerning the strained relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government.
