TikToker Peller has tendered a public apology for his inflammatory remarks about Nigerian Afrobeats star Runtown, which sparked intense backlash across social media.

During a recent livestream, Peller had dismissed Runtown’s accomplishments, labeling him an “up-and-coming artist” – a comment that outraged fans and fellow artists, who condemned Peller’s disrespect toward the accomplished musician.

In a subsequent livestream with his girlfriend Elizabeth Amoudu, Peller acknowledged his mistake, admitting that his youth and ignorance had led him to underestimate Runtown’s significant contributions to the music industry.

With sincerity and humility, Peller pleaded for forgiveness, stating:

“I was too young to understand Runtown’s impact… Please forgive me. I’m truly sorry.”
