Rapper Kendrick Lamar has set a new record for the most simultaneous #1s across Billboard charts in a single week, achieving 24 top spots.
The record was previously held by singer Beyoncé, who secured 23 #1s in a single week following the release of her critically acclaimed album Renaissance two years ago.
Lamar’s latest achievement comes amid a surge in commercial success that began mid-last year, fueled by his high-profile hip-hop feud with Canadian rapper Drake.
His new album, GNX, currently holds the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart, while his hit song Luther, featuring SZA, remains atop the Billboard Hot 100 for a third consecutive week.
