The state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, during a tour of the red line rail project issued a 2-day ultimatum for traders to vacate the rail line rail tracks at Agege.

This was disclosed in a video posted on the X (formerly called Twitter) handle of the Senior Special Assistant on new media to the governor, Jubril Gawat.

Meanwhile, the commissioner for Environment Tokunbo Wahab in several posts on X also highlighted the illegal markets and shanties being shut down and destroyed in several parts of the state. Tokunbo Wahab also announced that traders along road medians and walkways are to vacate from such areas.
