In a monumental achievement that blends art, resilience, and advocacy, 15-year-old Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke, who lives with autism, has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the largest painting. The Nigerian teenager unveiled his extraordinary creation today, April 2, 2025, at The Eagle Square in Abuja, to mark World Autism Awareness Day.

Kanyeyachukwu’s remarkable artwork spans an astonishing 12,303.87 square meters, setting a new record for the world’s largest art canvas. His impressive feat surpasses the previous record of 9,652 square meters, which was set in Qatar. The massive painting stands not only as a testament to his artistic ability but also as a powerful symbol of the talent, resilience, and limitless potential of individuals with autism.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by notable dignitaries, including former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, who praised Kanyeyachukwu’s achievement and highlighted the importance of creating inclusive platforms for neurodiverse individuals. Speaking at the event, Obi emphasized the significance of recognizing and supporting the capabilities of individuals on the autism spectrum.
