The administration’s ultimatum has sparked intense interest from a number of high-profile companies, with Amazon now among the contenders. President Donald Trump has expressed that he hopes to keep TikTok operating in the U.S., noting that several buyers are eager to take over the app’s U.S. operations.

Trump has also made it clear that if an agreement isn’t reached by the April 5 deadline, he is open to extending it, giving more time for the sale to be finalized.

The news of Amazon’s late-stage involvement comes after reports that other companies, including Oracle and a group led by OnlyFans founder Tim Stokely, have been vying for the deal.

This growing list of suitors highlights the significant value that TikTok’s U.S. business holds, with many seeing it as a key player in the digital media and advertising space.

As the deadline approaches, the Trump administration is closely scrutinizing the proposals, ensuring that any sale of TikTok’s U.S. operations addresses concerns about data privacy and national security.

The outcome of these negotiations could have far-reaching implications for TikTok’s future in the United States, with both political and business leaders closely monitoring the situation.
