In a powerful and emotional testimony, Love Oyedepo-Ogah, daughter of Bishop David Oyedepo, has revealed a past attempt on her father’s life that ended in failure. According to her, a group of armed assailants was sent to assassinate the revered founder of Living Faith Church, also known as Winners’ Chapel, but were unable to locate him despite reportedly being in close proximity.
Speaking during a church program, Love shared the story to highlight divine protection over her father’s life. “They came to kill him, but couldn’t see him,” she said, describing how the attackers were allegedly confused and unable to carry out their mission.
She attributed the failed assassination attempt to God’s supernatural covering, saying it was a clear example of divine intervention and proof that Bishop Oyedepo is under God’s protection.
The revelation has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with many members of the church community expressing gratitude and awe over what they consider a miraculous escape. Bishop Oyedepo, a leading voice in Nigerian Pentecostalism, has long been known for his strong teachings on faith, divine preservation, and the power of prayer.
Neither Bishop Oyedepo nor the church has issued an official statement regarding the incident at the time of reporting, but the testimony continues to stir conversations both online and in faith circles.
