Veteran Nollywood actress and evangelist Eucharia Anunobi is speaking out about poor DM etiquette, calling out people who initiate conversations with vague greetings like “hi” or “hello, beauty” without stating their intentions.

In a passionate Instagram video, Anunobi expressed her frustration, saying:

“I don’t get it. I really don’t get it. Why would you come to someone’s DM and write hi? Hello, Beauty. For crying out loud, you think we all have time to waste?”

With her signature commanding presence, she urged followers to stop the idle chit-chat and get straight to the point when sliding into someone’s inbox.

“Oh, so we should start chit-chatting. Hey, then I write hello, then you say ‘How are you?’ That’s fine. Come on, now. Man, shoot your shot, write your intentions, write where you’re going to, where you’re coming from, come on.”

Anunobi emphasized that in today’s fast-paced world, being clear, intentional, and respectful of others’ time is essential. She encouraged followers to state their purpose boldly—be it business, networking, admiration, or romance.

“Don’t you know what’s called grabbing your opportunity? Obviously, common sense is not common.”

Her no-nonsense message is resonating with many online who agree it’s time to raise the bar on digital communication.
