Global Afrobeats star CKay has officially ended his recording contract with Warner Music South Africa, marking the conclusion of a significant phase in his rising global career.

The artist, best known for viral hits like “Love Nwantiti” and “Emiliana,” confirmed the split was mutual and intentional, signaling a clean break and a fresh path ahead.

CKay rose to international acclaim after “Love Nwantiti,” first released in 2019, became a TikTok sensation in 2021. The track later earned 8x platinum certification from the RIAA, making it the most certified Nigerian song in U.S. music history.

Initially signed to Loopy Music, which merged with Chocolate City in 2015, CKay announced in 2021 that he was no longer affiliated with the label. His deal with Warner Music South Africa followed shortly after—until now.

With the partnership officially closed, fans worldwide are watching with anticipation to see what’s next for CKay, as he hints at entering a bold new era in his musical evolution.
