The Nigeria Police Force has extradited Benjamin Best Nnayereugo, widely known as “Killaboi,” from Doha, Qatar to Nigeria to face prosecution over the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Augusta Onuwabhagbe.

The 21-year-old victim, a first-class student of Lead City University, was reportedly killed at Nnayereugo’s residence in Ajah, Lagos, on July 13, 2023. He fled the country after the incident and was later declared wanted by the Lagos State Police Command.

Following an INTERPOL Red Notice, he was initially arrested in Sierra Leone under a false identity but escaped custody during a prison break. Further investigations tracked him to Qatar, where he was living under another alias using a forged Guinean passport.

The extradition, finalized on Saturday, April 19, 2025, was made possible through the collaboration of the Nigerian Ministry of Justice, INTERPOL NCB Abuja, Qatari authorities, and the Nigerian Embassy in Qatar.

Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun commended the international cooperation and assured that the suspect will face diligent prosecution in line with the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to justice.
