Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has responded forcefully to the allegations of bribery, abduction, and assault leveled against him by the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah.

In a series of statements posted to his Instagram Story, Seyi Tinubu expressed shock and disbelief over the claims, labeling them a calculated attempt to destroy his reputation.

“Wow…. how can someone lie with so much confidence? Wow wow…” he wrote. “An attempt to defame my character. May God be with you, Comrade Atiku Isah.”

Addressing specific claims made by the NANS President, Seyi firmly denied ever holding a meeting with Atiku Isah—whether in Lagos or elsewhere—and rejected any suggestion of being involved in violent disruptions or bribe offers.

“I have never held a meeting to discuss any subject matter with Comrade Isah in Lagos or anywhere else in the world. I have never knowingly met him before,” he said. “Neither did I visit any location with thugs. All these allegations by Atiku Isah are completely fictional.”

The NANS President had earlier accused Seyi Tinubu of offering him ₦100 million to step down and support a government-backed candidate. He also alleged that after rejecting the offer, he was abducted, beaten, and forced to resign under duress.

Seyi’s rebuttal, however, suggests a complete denial of any involvement or knowledge of the events described. He has not ruled out the possibility of taking legal action.

As the controversy gains national attention, observers are calling for a formal and impartial investigation to verify the claims and uphold the integrity of both parties.

So far, the Presidency and security agencies have not issued official comments on the matter.
