Tragedy in Texas: British Nigerian Student Killed Just Before Nursing Graduation

23-year-old Tamilore Odunsi, a British-Nigerian nursing student, had moved to the U.S. to pursue her training. Just days before her graduation in Houston, Texas, she was tragically murdered by her male flatmate.

Concern grew when Tamilore’s family couldn’t reach her, prompting a call to the police by a family friend. When officers arrived at her apartment, they noticed blood on the rear patio and forced their way inside. Tamilore was found in the kitchen with multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her flatmate was discovered in the bedroom, also with stab wounds, and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The two had been sharing the apartment for only a few weeks. Neighbors reported that police had been called to the residence roughly 12 hours earlier due to a dispute between the two over the flatmate’s cats entering Tamilore’s room.

The investigation is still ongoing.
