Amid ongoing political tensions in Rivers State, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, has reaffirmed his personal regard for Governor Siminalayi Fubara, describing him as “a political son,” despite recent disagreements.

Speaking to reporters, Wike emphasized that political disputes are not unusual in governance and should not be mistaken for personal animosity.

“Governor Fubara remains my political son. No amount of political misunderstanding can change that fact,” Wike stated. “We may disagree on issues, but I have not denied the role I played in his political journey.”
