Truck Accident at Isheri Market Along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Claims One Life, Injures Several Others

A devastating accident occurred this morning at the Isheri Market, OPIC junction, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, when a truck reportedly suffered a brake failure and crashed into the bustling marketplace. The tragic incident resultd in the death of a local tea vendor and left several others injured.

Eyewitnesses reported that the truck, inbound to Ibadan, lost control and swerved into the market stalls, destroying goods and structures in its path. A security guard at the market recounted his near-death experience, stating that he had just purchased tea from the deceased vendor moments before the crash.

Emergency responders and local authorities swiftly arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance and assess the extent of the damage. The truck driver has been arrested and is currently in the custody of the Isheri Tactical Unit as investigations into the cause of the accident continue
