Prominent Tanzanian activist Mange Kimambi has issued a strong public appeal to Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo, urging her to refrain from posting romantic content with her husband, Tanzanian musician Juma Jux, during the country’s critical election period.

In a passionate statement shared on social media, Kimambi emphasized the importance of maintaining focus on the upcoming elections, describing them as a “fight of a lifetime” for Tanzanians. She warned that distractions—especially those involving celebrity romance—could undermine the nation’s collective efforts to hold the government accountable.

Kimambi expressed admiration for Ojo, acknowledging the warm welcome she has received from Tanzanians since her marriage to Jux. However, she stressed that the country’s political climate requires undivided attention, urging Ojo and Jux to temporarily step back from public displays of affection and social media engagement until after the elections.

“We love you, Priscy, but Tanzania is in a fight for its rights,” Kimambi stated. “We need our people to stay focused, so we ask you and Jux to hold off on posting content that could distract from our mission. After the elections, you can resume as usual, and we will support you.”

The activist also extended her plea to other influential figures, including Jux’s close friend, Diamond Platnumz, urging them to avoid unnecessary publicity that could divert attention from the nation’s political discourse.
