Crackdown on Dirty Environment: Lagos State Government shuts down Alaba Market

The Lagos State Government has shut down the Alaba International Market over poor waste disposal practices among others. 

The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab disclosed this in a post on X on Monday.

The closure is the latest in the shutting down of markets and demolition of illegal structures by the Lagos State Government.

The state government recently sealed but later reopened the Mile 12 International Market.

Other markets that faced the axe were the Owode Onirin Market, the Ladipo Auto Parts Market and others.
