Grammy-nominated Nigerian rapper Olamide has officially released his highly anticipated self-titled album, marking a major moment in Afrobeats and global hip-hop.
Released on June 19, 2025, the project boasts 17 tracks and showcases a blend of Nigerian and international talents. Olamide continues to prove his legendary status with collaborations that bridge continents and genres.
Featured guest artists include Nigerian superstar Wizkid, chart-topping hitmakers Asake, Seyi Vibez, Young Jonn, and BOJ. The album also sees global contributions from Darkoo, SPINALL, Jamaican icon Popcaan, Latino sensation Daecolm, and American hip-hop legend Dr. Dre, adding a rich, cross-cultural flavor to the project.
The self-titled album is Olamide’s 11th solo project, and it reflects his consistent evolution, versatility, and deep influence on modern music culture.
Ahead of the album’s full drop, Olamide released two singles:
- ‘99’ – featuring Asake, Seyi Vibez, Young Jonn, and Daecolm.
- ‘Kai’ – featuring Wizkid, who appears twice on the project, continuing a musical alliance that has spanned over a decade.
This album follows his previous release, ‘Ikigai’, a thoughtful project titled after the Japanese concept meaning “a reason to live.” That album included notable tracks like ‘Metaverse’, ‘Habibi’, and ‘Uptown Disco’ featuring Asake and Fireboy.
With over a decade at the pinnacle of Nigerian music, Olamide has not only delivered consistent hits but has also shaped the industry as a label boss through his YBNL imprint. The label has produced stars like Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy DML, and Asake.
Olamide’s new album is a celebration of his enduring legacy, musical brilliance, and global impact.
