Former UK Prime Minister David Cameron has made a surprise return to politics after he was appointed Foreign Secretary in a cabinet reshuffle of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Cameron, who was Britain’s leader from 2010 to 2016, replaces James Cleverly. He will be made a life peer in the House of Lords, Britain’s upper chamber of parliament, meaning that he can sit in government.

It is an honour to be appointed as Home Secretary.

My job is to keep people in this country safe.
