Burna Boy, Rema win Billboard AfroBeats Awards

Nigerian music stars Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy and Divine Ikubor aka Rema have both won big at this year’s Billboard Music Award.

Burna Boy won the Best “Afrobeats Acts” while Rema won the “best Afrobeats song” for his record-breaking song “Calm Down”, which has smashed multiple streaming and chart records.

Billboard is the latest body to add an Afrobeats category, reflecting the genre’s global popularity.
