The Senate has asked the executive branch of the Federal Government to immortalize the late designer of the Nigerian flag Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi, who died in Ibadan on August 29.

The lawmakers made the call after a motion moved by Sen. Sharafadeen Abiodun representing Oyo South.

They also called on the Federal Government to conduct a befitting state burial in his honour for his designing of the national flag.
