Manchester City has emerged champions of the FIFA Club World Cup, after thrashing Copa Libertadores winners Fluminense 4-0 in the final.

2 Goals from Julian Alvarez, a goal from Phil Foden and an own-goal from Fluminese’s Nino saw City win the final comprehensively.

The feat sees Man City become the first team to win the Premier League, FA Cup, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup in a single calendar year.

Going into the final, coach Pep Guardiola urged his side to control their fear and doubts, dismissing the idea that they could play the final by suppressing their emotions.

The game went perfectly to plan as, Julian Alvarez scored within forty seconds into the match, chesting home from close range after Nathan Ake‘s shot was tipped onto the post.

It got even better after 26 minutes when Phil Foden‘s cross was deflected in by defender Nino to make it 2-0.

Alvarez turned provider for Foden to get on the scoresheet in the second half, before his second goal just before full time.
