In response to the tragic explosion which rocked Ibadan on January 16, the Oyo State government has established a platform to receive public donations for the victims.

Governor Seyi Makinde announced on Thursday that the contributions would be directed to the bank accounts of landlords and resident associations involved.

In a statement, the governor stated, “The money donated goes directly to the Landlords/Residents Association’s bank account while our administration will work with them to ensure it is distributed to the right beneficiaries.”

Governor Makinde urged residents who are yet to be accounted for after the explosion, to contact the Emergency Operations Centre at 07049948057 or 08147672009.
