Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, Others Receive Nominations for 2024 NAACP Image Awards

African musical talents Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, Tems, Ayra Starr, Omah Lay, Olamide, and Libianca, have garnered nominations across various categories in the 55th NAACP Image Awards, representing a significant recognition of their impact on the global music scene.

Burna Boy stands out as the African artist with the highest number of nominations, receiving five in total. His exceptional achievements include nominations for Outstanding Male Artist, Outstanding International Song for the chart-topping “City Boys”, Outstanding Hip-Hop/Rap Song for “Sittin’ On Top of The World”, Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration with 21 Savage for the same song, and a nomination for Outstanding Album with “I Told Them”.

Davido has also secured notable nominations, contending for Outstanding Male Artist, Outstanding International Song for “Unavailable” featuring Musa Keys, and Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album for the collaborative work “Sensational” alongside Chris Brown and Lojay. Additionally, he joins the Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration category in the contemporary genre for “Sensational” with Chris Brown and Lojay.
