Nigeria’s Super Eagles will on Monday arrive back in the country after their outing at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The Eagles who went all the way to the final, lost 2-1 to the host country.
And hours after the loss, the team is set to leave their hotel in Abidjan as they head back to Nigeria, one month after they left for Ivory Coast for the tournament.
Reports say the Super Eagles will depart Ivory Coast for the country by 2:45 pm on Monday.
Despite the loss, however, Nigerians have continued to praise the Super Eagles for their performance at the tournament.
President Bola Tinubu in a statement, lauded the team for their grit and determination to have gone far in the competition.
