Bandits Abduct Dozens of School Pupils in Kaduna State

Chaos erupted in the Kuriga town of Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State as bandits abducted a large number of pupils in an attack on LEA Primary School, Kuriga (1).

The number of persons abducted is yet to be confirmed, but some residents said they were about 100. The headteacher of the school and some other staff are reportedly among the victims.

Reports say the kidnapping incident happened at 8:20 am immediately after the assembly.

Additional reports say students sustained injuries as they attempted to flee the school on sighting the bandits.
