Onyeka Onwenu Embarks on Film Project to Document Musical Journey

Legendary Nigerian musician, Onyeka Onwenu, has revealed plans to produce a film documenting her illustrious career spanning several decades in the music industry.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) conducted in Lagos, the esteemed “elegant stallion” shared her excitement about delving into her firsthand experiences and memories of Nigeria’s music scene evolution.

“I am currently immersed in the production of a film that will capture my journey in the music industry from the 1970s to the present day. Having been an integral part of this narrative for decades, I am eager to share my stories,” Onwenu revealed.

In addition to her film endeavour, Onwenu discussed her ongoing efforts to rejuvenate her classic songs by collaborating with emerging artists. She assured fans of an upcoming compilation featuring reimagined renditions of her timeless hits.

“I am reviving my old songs and teaming up with new talents. My goal is to present listeners with a fresh interpretation of these timeless classics,” she elaborated.
