The NPFL Week 35 played between Rangers International Football Club of Enugu and Enyimba FC of Aba, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, on Sunday didn’t end.

This is as Enyimba refused to continue with the game when Rangers were awarded a penalty few minutes to end the second half.

The first half ended goaless.

Every effort made by Rangers to outscore visiting Enyimba came to no avail even as Rangers missed many scoring chances.

But very close to the end of the game, a penalty was awarded to Rangers when an attacker was hacked down very close to the goal mouth.

Enyimba players and management refused to accept the penalty while the referee was bent on playing the penalty thus it ended in a stalement.

Enyimba fans who felt that they might lose the match became unruly and started throwing missiles and spectators flew for dear lives.

Officials of the NPFL will decide whether to award Rangers the maximum three points to be the league leader with 64 points.

The match attracted a mammoth crowd that security men had trouble containing them from being unruly.
