Supermodel Oluchi Onweagba has clarified her stance on being the first Nigerian and African ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, throwing shade at Temi Otedola’s recent announcement as the first African ambassador for the brand.

Onweagba took to social media to set the record straight, posting a throwback photo of herself as the first Nigerian ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, captioning it: “LEGITIMATE TBT FIRST NIGERIAN REMAINS FIRST FOREVER. NOT A LOUD SPEAKER BUT COUNT ON ME TO SHOW YOU ALL RECEIPT.”

Her statement implies that she has evidence to support her claim and is not one to boast or seek attention, but will not let misinformation go unchallenged.

The use of “prepaid magical media outlets” suggests that she believes some individuals may be using their influence and media reach to rewrite history.

Onweagba’s post is a clear response to Otedola’s announcement, making it evident that there is a dispute over who holds the title of first African ambassador for L’Oréal Paris.
