Breaking: Senate confirms Defence and Service Chiefs

The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the appointments of the nation’s Defence and Service chiefs. Recall that President Bola Tinubu had on June 19 retired the previous service chiefs and replaced them with new ones.

The confirmation of the appointments comes after President Tinubu wrote to the Senate on Monday, requesting that the Upper Chamber confirm the nomination of the service chiefs.

After the confirmation, the new service chiefs will now be promoted to a higher rank and star.
