Lakatabu’ Maintains Position as Third Highest-Grossing Nollywood Movie for Second Consecutive Week

In a report published on Friday, July 5, 2024, by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), detailing the top 10 highest-grossing films at the box office from June 28, 2024, to July 4, 2024, ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ continued to dominate since its release on June 7, 2024.

The film made ₦46.7 million during the period considered, bringing its total gross to ₦334 million.

The new Hollywood film ‘Quiet Place: Day One,’ starring Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, took second place with ₦40.9 million.

Following closely is ‘Lakatabu,’ an Indigenous Nollywood epic written and produced by Odunlade Adekola. It secured the third spot this week, grossing ₦40.1 million and bringing its total gross to ₦105.1 million since its release.

The cast of ‘Lakatabu’ includes Oga Bello, Aderinoye Babatunde, Adunni Ade, Bolanle Ninalowo, Eniola Ajao, and Yomi Fash-Lanso.
