The Osun government has ordered all schools in Osun to shut down by July 31.

The directive, which affects public and private schools, came amid the build-up to the #EndBadGovernance protests aimed at demanding good economic reforms and better welfare policies under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In a public service announcement issued by the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Education, A. Jimoh, the government directed parents and guardians to ensure the safety of their children while away from school.

“This is to inform the general public, particularly parents, guardians and heads of both public and private schools in the state that due to the planned nationwide protests, all schools are directed to proceed on the third term vacation From Wednesday 31st July, 2023.

“Parents and Guardians are advised to ensure the safety of their wards during the vacation,” the statement said.
