A large crowd of protesters has gathered at the Ikeja Under Bridge in Lagos, joining a nationwide movement demanding improved governance in Nigeria.

The demonstration seeks to address pressing issues such as poor living conditions, inadequate security, and pervasive corruption.

As seen in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), a substantial number of protesters have already assembled in one section of the area, with more expected to join.

The protest follows a recent court ruling in Ogun State, which restricted demonstrations to specific locations and times, raising concerns about the erosion of citizens’ rights to freedom of assembly and expression.

Undeterred by these challenges, the protesters in Lagos remain resolute in their determination to make their voices heard. The #EndBadGovernanceProtest aims to shine a spotlight on critical issues like economic hardship, poor infrastructure, and inadequate healthcare, among others. The authorities’ response to the protest remains to be seen.”
