Nigerian rapper Oladips has accused Wizkid of intellectual theft, claiming that Wizkid’s verse on Asake’s song “MMS” contains similarities to his own lyrics from his 2022 single “Ajala Traveller”.

Oladips shared screenshots comparing the two, highlighting the resemblance between his line “I had to lose myself to find my purpose” and Wizkid’s line “Lost Myself, and I found my purpose”.

Oladips questioned whether it was “recycling or coincidence” and called on Wizkid to address the issue.

The accusation has sparked a debate among fans and music enthusiasts, with some weighing in on social media.
