The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a suspected Yahoo boy in Abuja, accused of detaining a young woman for alleged money rituals.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) carried out the arrest after a video circulated on social media, showing the victim tied up in a room at the Top View Hotel in Wuse, Abuja.

FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, stated that the police await the formal handover of the suspect from the NSCDC to begin a thorough investigation.

“The FCT Police Command awaits the NSCDC’s handover of all parties for a diligent and discreet investigation,” Adeh said.
