In a heartfelt appeal made today near the Rafah border crossing, a prominent international activist has publicly called on Egyptian security forces to allow a peaceful demonstration to proceed into Gaza. The initiative, organized by a coalition of humanitarian groups and civil society advocates, seeks to draw attention to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.

Speaking to reporters, the activist emphasized that the march is intended as a nonviolent expression of solidarity with civilians in Gaza facing severe shortages of essential supplies. “Our only aim is to show compassion and unity with those who are suffering,” the activist said. “We urge Egyptian authorities to let our message of peace pass through.”

Despite increased border security and regional tensions, organizers say they have coordinated with legal advisors and human rights monitors to ensure the march remains lawful and peaceful. The activist’s plea reflects growing international calls for humanitarian corridors and a renewed focus on regional diplomacy.
