Nollywood actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has been hospitalised following an unexpected on-set incident involving fellow actor Zubby Michael. The incident occurred during the filming of a scene when Nnadiekwe sustained a forceful kick to the chest, resulting in internal bleeding.

In an official statement released by Nnadiekwe’s management, it was confirmed that the actor was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention. “We regret to inform you that Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe was admitted to the hospital this evening. He is undergoing treatment for internal bleeding following an incident involving a kick on the chest during filming with his colleague Zubby Michael. We appreciate your concern and well wishes for Godwin at this time,” the statement read.

Nnadiekwe himself took to social media to recount the incident, expressing concerns over safety measures on Nollywood sets. He revealed that the kick was not scripted nor directed, raising questions about the enforcement of safety protocols in the industry.

At this time, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has yet to release an official statement regarding the matter.
