In an emotional and long-awaited reunion, veteran Nollywood actress Jumoke George has finally reunited with her daughter, Adeola, who had been missing for four years. Adeola, who was trafficked to Mali in 2020, was recently rescued and returned home, marking a triumphant moment in the fight against human trafficking.

The reunion, which took place on May 19, 2025, was facilitated by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), led by Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, alongside Nollywood stars Biola Adebayo and Niyi Johnson, who played instrumental roles in bringing Adeola’s case to public attention.

Jumoke George, who had previously shared her distress over her daughter’s disappearance, expressed overwhelming gratitude to Nigerians and the organizations that worked tirelessly to bring Adeola home. “I cannot thank everyone enough for their support and prayers. This is a miracle, and I am beyond grateful,” she said in an emotional statement.

Adeola’s return marks a significant victory in the ongoing battle against human trafficking, highlighting the importance of public awareness and swift intervention. NiDCOM Chairperson Abike Dabiri-Erewa emphasized the need for continued vigilance and support for victims of trafficking, stating, “Adeola’s story is one of resilience and hope. We must continue to fight against human trafficking and ensure justice for victims.”
