Actress, ‘Ovularia’ of The New Masquerade passes away

Nollywood is in mourning state as veteran actress Madam Elizabeth Evoeme passes on at 81.

Her iconic portrayal of Ovularia in the 1980s TV series “The New Masquerade” remains an indelible mark on the industry.

Born on December 1, 1942, Evoeme’s illustrious career spanned decades, earning her a legacy as a talented and dedicated thespian.

Despite previous death rumors in 2019, her family has now confirmed her passing, surrounded by loved ones.

In a statement, the Evoeme Emekalam family expressed gratitude to fans, friends, and colleagues for their support and requested privacy during this difficult time. “We appreciate your support and respect for our privacy.
