Adeleke presents 2024 Budget of N273 billion to Osun State Assembly

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has presented a budget of N273.9 billion naira for the year 2024 to the Osun State House of Assembly.

Governor Adeleke while presenting the budget tagged “Budget of Reconstruction and Recovery”, said the sum of N165.6 billion naira was allocated for  recurrent expenditure and N108.2 billion naira for capital expenditure.

Governor Adeleke said, “the budget is aimed at rebuilding the battered economy of the state.

“This budget presentation is in conformity with the existing laws of the state which stipulate that the budget should be presented to the House before the end of the year”.

The Speaker of the Assembly, Adewale Egbedun expressed the readiness of the House to work with the Executive arm of government to ensure the successful implementation of the budget.

“This budget will be approved with a strong sense of responsibility.

“The Assembly will deliver a budget that addresses the challenges in the state.”
