Air Peace Ltd. has announced the immediate suspension of all its flight operations across Nigeria due to the ongoing industrial action by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET).
The airline disclosed this in an official statement issued on Wednesday by its Head of Corporate Communications, Ejike Ndiulo, in Lagos.
According to the statement, the NiMET strike has disrupted essential weather-related services required for safe flight operations, leaving airlines unable to operate effectively and in compliance with aviation safety regulations.
Air Peace expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers and emphasized that flight operations would resume as soon as the strike is called off and normal services are restored.
The airline also called for swift resolution of the impasse to prevent further disruption to the aviation sector and the traveling public.
