Al-Hilal Reportedly Considering January Exit for Neymar Amid Ongoing Injury Struggles

Neymar could potentially face an early exit from Al-Hilal, with the Saudi Pro League club reportedly considering terminating his £130 million-a-year contract in January.

The Brazilian star has struggled with recurring injuries, which have limited his contributions since joining the club. After returning to the field for Al-Hilal following a lengthy recovery from an ACL tear sustained in October 2022, Neymar faced a fresh setback.

He was forced off just 29 minutes into a recent Asian Champions League match against Esteghlal, citing what he described as a cramp in his right thigh, though reports from Brazil suggest he could be sidelined for at least three weeks.

According to Brazilian outlet UOL, Al-Hilal are contemplating cutting ties with Neymar to reduce his substantial salary burden and to allow manager Jorge Jesus more flexibility with squad decisions.

Given that his current deal is set to expire at the end of the season, Al-Hilal reportedly sees a potential mutual termination in January as a strategic move, allowing them to offload his wages while preparing for the latter half of their campaign.
