World-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua, who is currently in Nigeria for the festive season, has issued a heartfelt invitation to Nigerians living abroad to return home and experience the beauty of their motherland. In a video message, Joshua expressed his enthusiasm for being in Lagos, highlighting the warmth and hospitality of the Nigerian people.

“Nigerians, how are you guys? I hope you’re well,” Joshua began. “Everyone in the diaspora, I hope everyone’s good. Had a good Christmas and New Year? I’m here live in Lagos. If you haven’t been here yet, I advise you to book your ticket ASAP. Come home, come see the family, come see the friends, come see your people. It’s an amazing place.”

Joshua emphasized the importance of connecting with one’s roots and experiencing the rich culture of Nigeria firsthand. “You have to get to know yourself, though. I can only tell you, but I can’t show you. You have to be here,” he said.

The boxer, who is known for his Nigerian heritage, encouraged those in the diaspora to make the trip back home, promising that they would have a great time. “We’re having a great time out here. We have some good breakfast – yam, egg, moi moi, plantain, amala, malt, Guinness. Everything is 10/10, and we’re enjoying. So, we want you to come join us.”

Joshua’s message is a testament to his love for Nigeria and his desire to share that love with others. As he stood on Nigerian soil, he exclaimed, “My feet are here right now, as we speak. My feet are here on the soil. So, listen, if you can come, join us. We’ll be waiting for you.”
