The Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos has affirmed the election of Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as winner of the Ogun State Governorship election.

The Appeal Court in a 2-1 majority judgement dismissed the appeal brought before it by the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Ladi Adebutu.

The court dismissed the appeal for lack of merit.

And reacting to the judgment, Governor Abiodun said the court ruling “validates the authenticity of the mandate bestowed upon him at the election”.
