Grammy-nominated superstar Asake has been crowned the best-selling artist in Nigeria for 2024, surpassing the country’s iconic “big three” artists.

According to TurnTable’s annual end-of-year chart, Asake claimed the No. 1 spot for the third consecutive year, becoming the first artist in Nigeria’s history to achieve this milestone.

Dominance With Record-Breaking Albums

Asake’s albums Mr Money With The Vibe (MMWTV) and Work Of Art continued their strong performance in 2024, remaining in the top ten of the Official Top 100 Albums chart for several weeks. His third album, Lungu Boy, released in August, stood out as the best-selling album of the year, spending 15 weeks at No. 1.

Leading Radio And Streaming Charts

For the second consecutive year, Asake emerged as the No. 1 radio artist and ended 2024 with the highest total chart points on the Official Nigeria Top 100 chart. His hit single “MMS,” featuring Wizkid, topped the Year-End Afro-R&B chart and held the No. 1 spot on the Official Nigeria Top 100 for three weeks.

On streaming platforms, Asake maintained his dominance as the top artist on Apple Music and Audiomack, while Lungu Boy emerged as the leading album. He also secured the No. 1 artist spot on YouTube in Nigeria.

This remarkable achievement solidifies Asake’s position as a powerhouse in the Nigerian music industry.
