Nigerian singer Asake has made history as the only Nigerian artist nominated for the 2025 Brit Awards. He earned a spot in the Best International Act category, marking his second nomination after being recognized in 2024.
The nomination comes on the heels of a stellar 2024, during which Asake released his third album, Lungu Boy. The album featured collaborations with Wizkid, Stormzy, Central Cee, and Ludmila, further solidifying his global appeal.
Asake will face tough competition in the category, going up against global superstars such as Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Benson Boone.
The award ceremony will take place on March 1, 2025, at London’s iconic O2 Arena, with Jack Whitehall announced as the host.
