Yinka Ash, the founder and CEO of luxury fashion brand Ashluxe, has taken to social media to call out Nigerian singer Lyta for wearing a counterfeit Ashluxe shirt.

Lyta had shared a photo of himself donning the yellow and black shirt on Instagram, but Yinka Ash quickly identified it as a fake and stamped “FAKE” on the post on his Snapchat page.

In a stern warning, Yinka Ash cautioned Lyta and others that wearing fake Ashluxe items is unacceptable, stating, “If you wear fake Ashluxe, just make sure I don’t see it.”

This public rebuke has sparked a conversation about the importance of authenticity in fashion and the need to support genuine designer brands.
