Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, alongside several members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has formed a coalition against President Bola Tinubu in preparation for the 2027 general election.

The ongoing press conference features key opposition figures, including Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi—represented by Yunusa Tanko—former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Babachir Lawal, ex-Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, National Secretary of the Coalition of United Political Parties Peter Ahmeh, and Alternative Convenor Segun Showunmi, among others.

Apologies were also announced on behalf of prominent figures such as former governors Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers) and Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), as well as the immediate past APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.
